Account and privacy
Hyzeer has no passwords. You log in with a link or a code sent to your email.
Tap Sign up and choose:
- Username: 5–20 characters (a–z, 0–9, - and _). It's in your profile link and can't be changed later.
- Display name: what other players see. You can change it later.
- Your email, then accept the terms and confirm that you are at least 16 years old.
Tap Create account. Open the link in the email, or type the 6-digit code from it into the app.
Type your email and tap Send link and code. Open the link in the email, or type the code: it is easier on a phone, because the link may open in the browser instead of the app.
- The link and the code work for 15 minutes, and only once. Send a new email if they expired.
- Not getting the email? Check your spam folder, and that the address is right (Wrong email? Start again).
- You stay logged in. Hyzeer asks you to log in again only after 180 days without using the app.
- One account per phone at a time. To use another one, log out first.
Me
The Me tab has your account, settings and help.
- Theme: System follows your phone; Light is easiest to read in the sun; Dark.
- View my profile shows your profile as others see it.
- Help and support: the Hyzeer Discord, the support email, this manual and the app version (tell us the version when you ask for help).
Profile settings
In Me → Profile settings:
- Display name, Home country and Time zone (used for the times of public games).
- Language: English or Slovenian. Emails from Hyzeer come in this language.
- Distances: metres or feet.
- Profile: Private (the default) or Public. A public profile shows your finished games where you are public, your discs, your home country and when you joined. Never shown: your email, label codes, found reports, disc notes and nicknames, hidden games, drafts and games that aren't finished. Your name and username are always public.
- Show my throws and discs to others: off, others see only your number of throws in a game.
- Make me private in all my games: people outside your private games see you as "Player N". Public games stay public.
In each game you can also choose Show my name to people outside this game. See Sharing, public games and profiles.
Change email
Me → Change email. Type the new address. Hyzeer sends a code to your current address first, then one to the new address. Your email changes only after both are confirmed.
Download my data
Me → Download my data saves a file (JSON) with everything Hyzeer keeps about you: profile and settings, discs and labels, your games with your scores and throws, found reports about your discs, your course changes and photos, and the reports you sent.
Log out
Me → Log out logs you out on this phone and deletes everything Hyzeer saved on it. If some scores haven't reached the server yet, the app warns you first: connect and wait until they are synced. Log out on all devices logs you out everywhere, also on this phone.
Delete your account
Me → Delete account. Download your data first if you want to keep it. Hyzeer sends you an email; your account is deleted only when you open the link in it, within 24 hours. Not opening it cancels the deletion. After that it can't be undone.
What happens:
- Your profile, discs and found reports are deleted, and your labels stop working.
- Finished games keep your scores, so other players' results don't change, but your name is replaced with "Deleted player", and your throws and discs are removed.
- In games not finished yet, your round and your guests are removed.
- Your drafts, and your games that no other player joined, are deleted. Games others joined go on without an organiser.
- Your course changes stay in the course history without your name. Course photos you added stay, shown as added by a deleted player.
- Your username is never given to anyone else. Your email can be used for a new account right away.
Everything is removed within 30 days. Backups expire after 30 days.
New terms
When the terms of service or the privacy policy change, the app shows what changed the next time you open it with a connection, and asks you to accept them. Until you do, you can still download your data, delete your account, log out and get help. Scoring without signal is never blocked.
